Congregation of The Sisters of St.Anne, Bangalore

Congregation of the Sisters of St.Anne, Bangalore, was founded by Msgr.Louis Stephen Charbonnaux of the Paris Foreign Mission. He was the First Vicar Apostolic of the Mysore Mission. In the year 1857, Msgr.Charbannaux put one of his long cherished plans: Education for boys and girls, care of the sick, aged, and abandoned of the society, into execution by opening an Indian religious congregation under the patronage of St.Anne with the motto of “LOVE AND SERVICE”. Thus the Congregation of the Sisters of St.Anne, Bangalore came into existence. Now it continues to spread the spirit of the Founder through life and apostolate, in India, and other countries like USA, Germany and Africa
